Congratulations to the 2026–2027 ACA Officers and Board Members
The American College of Apothecaries is pleased to announce and congratulate the new Officers and Board Members for the 2026–2027 term. We thank each of these dedicated professionals for their commitment to advancing pharmacy practice and supporting the mission of the American College of Apothecaries.
We extend our appreciation to all who have served in leadership roles over the past year for their dedication and contributions. The continued success of the ACA depends on the commitment of members who volunteer their time and expertise to guide the organization’s direction and growth.
Please join us in congratulating the new ACA leadership team and thanking them for their service to the profession of pharmacy.
At the 2026 ACA Annual Conference & Expo, we heard from Steve Zielinski, the incoming ACA President.

Without the incredible hard work of Linda, Taisha, Neil, and Susan, this conference would not be possible. The fact that we are all here is a testament to the time, effort, and dedication you have put into making it happen. Thank you.
I also want to recognize the important work that has taken place behind the scenes by our Executive Committees, both past and present. You have all given so much of your time and energy to help move this College forward and shape its future. Without those efforts, I would not be standing here this weekend.
And Hillary, the amount of work and dedication you have given to this College over the past year has been incredible. Thank you.
We are all aware of the challenges facing the pharmacy profession, and we feel them every day. Whether it is PBM pressures, staffing challenges, or changing regulations, one thing is certain: there will always be circumstances beyond our control.
Early in my career as a pharmacy owner, I came across a quote by George Bernard Shaw that has stayed with me:
“People are always blaming their circumstances for what they are. I don’t believe in circumstances. The people who get on in this world are the people who get up and look for the circumstances they want, and, if they can’t find them, make them.”
As a College of Apothecaries, whose members specialize in making medications and solutions, I find this quote particularly fitting for our organization.
I believe this is where the American College of Apothecaries comes in. We are here to support pharmacists as business owners and leaders, whether their focus is compounding, functional medicine, or the business of pharmacy. The challenges may be different, but there are solutions, and many of those solutions can be found within this College.
Our schedule this weekend is packed with speakers and vendors who have traveled to New Orleans to share practical opportunities, solutions, and ideas that you can take home and put to work in your pharmacies.
So this weekend, I invite you to take off your pharmacist’s cape and put on your entrepreneur’s hat. Remember, you are a business owner. You don’t just run a pharmacy; you manage a business in which that pharmacy operates.
As I step into this role, my vision for the coming year is simple: to ensure our members have the tools, resources, and connections they need to build, lead, and thrive in an evolving landscape.
Over the next 12 months, we will focus on four key priorities:
- Accelerating Practical Innovation & AI Adoption: Exploring and integrating technology that can make our daily work more efficient, from automated data entry to streamlined formulation records, allowing us to spend less time on administration and more time focusing on patient care.
- Empowering Entrepreneurial Leadership: Providing the knowledge, training, and business strategies that help pharmacy owners become proactive business leaders rather than simply reacting to changes in the marketplace.
- Expanding Member Engagement & Mentorship: Building stronger connections throughout our membership and creating opportunities for experienced compounders to mentor the next generation while encouraging collaboration and shared learning.
- Establishing an ACA Training Graduate Directory: Developing a searchable directory and recognition initiative for pharmacists and technicians who complete ACA courses, potentially including LinkedIn certification badges. This will help connect trained graduates with pharmacy owners, prescribers, and others looking for qualified professionals.
Thank you again for trusting me with this opportunity. I look forward to working with all of you as we move the College forward.
Welcome to New Orleans. Let’s make the most of this weekend!
Thank you.
