12:00 Noon ET / 11:00 am CT / 10:00 am MT / 9:00 am PT

Activity Description

This webinar will explore a novel approach to managing atopic dermatitis and psoriasis through the use of an oral probiotic as an adjunct to traditional treatment strategies. Designed for pharmacists and pharmacy technicians, the presentation will examine the emerging role of the gut–skin axis in inflammatory skin conditions and review the evidence supporting microbiome-targeted interventions, including Skinesa. Participants will gain an understanding of the clinical rationale, mechanism of action, available evidence, and appropriate patient selection for this therapeutic approach. The session will also provide practical counseling strategies and discuss how this option can be incorporated into everyday pharmacy practice to enhance patient education, support evidence-informed recommendations, and improve patient outcomes.

Learning Objectives – Pharmacists and Pharmacy Technicians

  3. Identify appropriate patient counseling points, including expectations for use, adherence, and monitoring of outcomes.
  4. Explain how Skinesa can be incorporated into pharmacy practice to support evidence-informed recommendations and improve patient care.
