The 2026 ACA Annual Conference & Expo offers a total of 10 contact hours (1.0 CEU) of continuing pharmacy education for pharmacists and pharmacy technicians. See the individual activity information for specific ACPE Universal Activity Numbers (UANs), learning objectives, and credit hours. To receive ACPE credit, attendees must provide their NABP e-Profile ID and date of birth (MMDD) and complete the required activity evaluation. Continuing education credit will be submitted to CPE Monitor® following completion of all applicable requirements. Participants are encouraged to claim their credit promptly following the conference. Any unclaimed credit with a date of participation six months or older will not be eligible for processing. The American College of Apothecaries, Inc. is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE) as a provider of continuing pharmacy education. Sessions carrying an ACPE Universal Activity Number are eligible for continuing pharmacy education credit as specified for each activity.

Artificial intelligence is rapidly becoming part of pharmacy practice, offering new ways to support clinical decision-making, improve workflow efficiency, enhance patient communication, and streamline everyday tasks. This webinar will introduce pharmacists and pharmacy technicians to current AI tools and pharmacy-related applications while addressing key limitations, risks, and considerations for responsible use. Participants will gain a better understanding of how AI is being used in pharmacy today and how these tools may support clinical, operational, and patient communication activities.

Timothy Aungst, PharmD, is a nationally recognized pharmacy educator, clinical pharmacist, and digital health expert known as “The Digital Apothecary.” He has spent more than a decade helping pharmacists, educators, and healthcare organizations understand how digital health, artificial intelligence, mobile apps, wearables, and emerging technologies are reshaping pharmacy practice and patient care. Dr. Aungst has advised national and international organizations, contributed to digital health education initiatives, and spoken widely on the future of pharmacy. His work focuses on translating complex technology trends into practical strategies that prepare pharmacists to lead in an increasingly data-driven healthcare environment.
