Why Special Interest Groups?

One of ACA’s greatest strengths has always been the sharing of ideas—captured in the long‑popular “This Works For Me” sessions, where members openly shared real‑world success stories for the benefit of their colleagues in a collaborative, non‑competitive environment. Traditionally, these connections were sparked through in‑person meetings. Today, we’re building on that legacy by expanding those conversations into dynamic, digitally connected communities.

Our Special Interest Groups (SIGs) bring members together year‑round through virtual meetings and online collaboration, creating spaces where ideas flow freely, relationships grow, and innovation happens. Participation is open to all members and designed to make it easy to connect with peers who share your passions and professional interests.

Launched in 2022 as “ACA Faculties,” these groups have quickly become a powerful and flexible way for members to collaborate and stay engaged. As they continue to grow, ACA is now using the term Special Interest Groups (SIGs) to better reflect their open, member‑driven nature. During this transition, you may see both Faculties and SIGs used interchangeably over the next few months.

Your participation is a no-cost ACA membership benefit available to any individual member.
