As part of the ACA Fellows program for pharmacists, ACA Fellows receive one complimentary continuing education activity each quarter. This quarter’s featured program is the on-demand webinar Empowering Pharmacy Personnel: Standard of Care Regulatory Models.

While this activity is offered at no cost to ACA Fellows (pharmacists), it is also available to pharmacy technicians and other healthcare professionals at standard registration rates.

This 1-hour, knowledge-based webinar examines how standard of care regulatory models are influencing contemporary pharmacy practice. Participants will compare bright-line regulation and standard of care regulation while exploring how these approaches affect pharmacist and pharmacy technician scope of practice, patient-centered care, and professional accountability.

Topics include:

  • Differences between bright-line and standard of care regulatory models
  • The impact of regulatory approaches on pharmacy practice
  • Professional judgment and accountability in patient care
  • Regulatory flexibility and evolving models of pharmacy practice
  • State examples illustrating changes in pharmacy regulation

This activity is designed to help pharmacy professionals better understand current regulatory approaches and how standard of care models may influence the future of pharmacy practice while supporting patient safety and access to care.

This activity provides 1 contact hour (0.1 CEU) of ACPE-accredited continuing education for pharmacists and pharmacy technicians.

The program is also available to international pharmacists, international pharmacy technicians, student pharmacists, and non-pharmacists for educational purposes.
